Giants v Falcons.PNG

Hello! Sorry for not being active over the last week. I was dealing with some personal matters and did not have time to post. However, I have some great news for you today. There is a lot so I will try to keep it concise.

  1. Spencer Pulley, former Chargers Center, will get the start at center today against the Falcons. In result John Greco will move over to his natural position (guard) and Patrick Omaheh will be benched. I like this move a lot and hopefully we can get more things going on the passing and running attacks with the extra support.
  2. Giants face must win. If the Giants do not win today we will fall to 1-6. This would mean we would be basically almost out of the playoffs (barring a perfect rest of the season). The Giants I think have a solid chance of winning this game against a week Falcons defense and a top-heavy/injured Falcons offense. We will need playmakers such as Odell Beckham Jr., Landon Collins, Olivier Vernon, and Saquon Barkley to step up if we want to win this game tonight. If we do lose we will be in a great position for next’s years draft. I would love if the Giants could win 9 of their next 10 games but I do not really see that happening.
  3. Quarterback Situation? Reports have been made that this is likely Eli Manning’s last season. We will most likely try to get a quarterback in the off-season whether by trade, free agency, or the draft. There have been reports that we might trade for Derek Carr but I am not too fond of this. I do not really like the guy that much and I would not want to give up a lot for him. The Cowboys just gave up a first-round pick for Carr’s number one receiver (Amari Cooper), who has only been average as of recent. So I would wonder what the Raiders would request for Carr. There is Tyrod Taylor, Teddy Bridgewater, and Nick Foles to obtain in free agency. However, I do not think that any of these guys are franchise material and I do not know if any of them can play at an elite level. Finally, the draft is the last option but I do not know who we would draft. Justin Herbert, Oregon, was clear franchise material but he will most likely be returning for his senior season. This leaves us with a not to great quarterback class. I do not know what we will do but the best option to me (if Justin Herbert does not enter the draft) is to trade for Derek Carr if we can get him for low. Then we could trade away our high first round pick (assuming we do not go on a 10 game win streak) fro a lot of draft capital where we can fill the needs on the offensive and defensive line.

Overall, if the Giants win today and Eli Manning plays well it is a step in the right direction. I am always rooting for the Giants and hope we can be successful. Stay tuned for more.
